He has won a place among the best platform stars, and his growing popularity is evidenced by the many return dates and the universal satisfaction expressed. We can give assurance that Mr. Bible never fails to please.
SUBJECTS OF LECTURES
1. Elements of Success
2. The Progress of the Twentieth Century
3. Readings and Impersonations
Prof. C. M. Parker, Parker Concert Co.— Mr. Bible is one of the most delightful and versatile lecturers on the platform — plenty of humor, but always a strong background of high and noble sentiment and sense.
Reading (Pa.) Eagle — The lecture given on the Y. M. C. A. course by Mr. Geo. P. Bible was one of the best, if not the best, of the season. Common sense, wit, humor nicely blended.
Fred High — A most delightful and pleasing lecturer and a great success.
Dr. N. C. Schaeffer, State Superintendent — I have often heard Prof. George P. Bible, and can cheerfully recommend him as an instructor at Teachers' Insti¬tutes. He has had a wide experience as educator, and is a specialist in reading and elocution.
George Howell, Ex-City Superintendent of Schools, Scranton, Pa.— Professor Bible has given instruction at our City Institute for several years, and we always find him interesting and instructive. He has the power of entertaining as well as instructing. His scholarship is excellent, his expression clear and con¬cise, and his ability to teach strong. Professor Bible is one of the most successful instructors in the State of Pennsylvania. He is endowed with good common sense and lives with the living.
Hon. Henry Houck, Department State Superintendent — I have known Prof. G. P. Bible for quite a number of years, and have met him often on the Institute plat¬form, and am glad to say that he never fails to instruct and please his audience. He has had wide and successful experience in institute work. Where he has been once, he is sure to be recalled. His eve¬ning lectures are very popular.
J. T. Stewart, Indiana, Pa.— Dr. Geo. P. Bible, of Philadelphia, Pa., is an Institute instructor and lec¬turer of the first rank. His personality and apt way of putting things make him a favorite wherever he goes. His readings captivated our teachers. As a lec¬turer he is equally successful. He is original, logi¬cal, humorous, and witty, while his sound method of argument carries conviction of truth. Persons plan¬ning a lecture course will make no mistake in securing the services of Dr. Bible. I can heartily recommend him. He will please wherever he goes.
Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) Record — Again did the crowd at the Institute illustrate the inadequacy of the Y. M. C. A. auditorium. The gallery was crowded to the steps and the pit was filled, with standing room only. Prof. George P. Bible was next introduced. His stage presence indicates thorough ease and self-possession, and in illustrating his subjects he developed wonderful accuracy.

(Sunday, for Y.M.C. A.)
is J. C. Taylor, Superintendent of Schools, Lackawanna n County, Scranton, Pa.— During my service as Super intendent of Schools I have often called on Prof. Geo. P. Owing both to the richness of his thought and to his art as a public speaker, he has the power to hold the undivided attention of his audience, Superintendents engaging his services may be assured of a strong man, whether he shall be presented as a day instructor or as an evening lecturer and entertainer.
James M. Couhlin, City Superintendent — I have known Mr. Bible for a number of years as a lecturer and institute instructor. He always pleases his hearers, and gives them something to think about and put into practice. I gladly recommend him to the favorable consideration of those making lecture courses or Institute programs.

and forcible speaker.
Gov. D. H. Hastings — One of the finest and most pleas¬ing reciters and impersonators in our state.
J. Kelso Green, County Superintendent of Schools, Carlisle, Pa.— Dr. Geo. P. Bible appeared before our County Teachers' Institute two years ago for the first time. Our teachers placed such a high estimate on his work that he was re-engaged for our last Institute. He is one of the most popular lecturers and entertainers that we have had, and I do not hesitate to recommend him to any one who desires the services of a good, strong platform speaker. He will please any audience.
Ira N. McCloskey, County Superintendent, Lock Haven, Pa.— Teachers and citizens of Clinton County are always ready to greet Dr. Geo. P. Bible, the lecturer and humorist, as a special favorite. Dr. Bible is one of the most magnetic and pleasing instructors in the field of Institute workers. His popularity in Lock
Haven is only exceeded by his acquaintanceship.

He completely controlled their emotions, at one time al¬most in tears and again convulsed by laughter, and thus two hours passed by, the audience being well pleased with the literary treat afforded them.

Prof. Bible again talked on "Nature Study," giving some excellent hints and suggestions of the many interest¬ing lines in which this work may be taken up. Our people were delighted with him. Good common sense and a cheerful disposi¬tion he possesses in marked degree.
York (Pa.) Democrat — Bible is all right as a lecturer and instructor. He delivered his lecture on "The Elements of Success" on the regular Institute course, and we hear nothing but the highest commendations. He filled the night that was to have been filled by Dr. Cadman, and this fact, although previously known, did not diminish the attendance. He was greeted with a large audience.

His work was very highly appreciated by our teachers. His instructions are helpful, and show care¬ful preparation as to the needs of schools. His elo¬cutionary and oratorical powers are such as to enable him to present his instructions in such a way as to be most pleasing to his audience. I cheerfully recom¬mend him to anyone needing a first-class Institute man.

Superintendent H. K. Bender, Northampton County —
Having had the opportunity of witnessing the work of Prof. Geo. P. Bible at a number of our County In¬stitutes, I take pleasure in recommending him as an able and efficient instructor and a very successful and pleasing entertainer. His talks on educational topics are practical and suggestive, and his evening lectures are well received. Owing to his varied accomplish¬ments, he is a very desirable and profitable man to employ.

Bible has had a place, in our County Institute Lecture Course for two suc¬cessive years, along with such men as Dr. Conwell, Col. Bain, Bob Burdette, Dr. Nourse, and others of national fame. I have also heard him in other coun¬ties, and I have never known an audience to be dis¬appointed.
Bradford (Pa.) Sunday News — The evening session was replete with music and the rendition of some ex¬cellent elocutionary selections by Prof. George P. Middleburg (Pa.) Post — Prof. Bible gave an enter¬tainment before our Institute, and he carried every¬thing by storm. Prof. Bible is just the sort of fellow you need if you want a representation of life in all phases. This was his third season on our course.
Danville (Pa.) Morning News — Tuesday evening's lec¬ture was delivered by Prof. G. P. Bible on '' Elements of Success" The discourse was chuck full of good advice, and abounded in witty sallies which elicited frequent outbursts of laughter, and kept the audience in the best kind of humor.

Geo. P. Bible, A.M., Humorous Lecturer and Entertainer
Philadelphia Press — As an evening lecturer and enter¬tainer, Prof. Bible never fails to hold the attention of an audience and to awaken an enthusiasm that has won for him a high rank among the educators of the state.
Milford (Pa.) Press — Dr. Bible was warmly greeted by the audience, which always thoroughly enjoys his talks. He is booked for twenty-one Institutes, which fact emphasizes his popularity as an instructor and lecturer. His address was in his usual bright and witty style. Tuesday night he gave at Brown's hall his famous lecture entitled "The Progress of the Age." His discourse was full of humor and pathetic illustrations and he held the close attention of his audience the entire evening.
Dr. W. L. Davidson, General Manager, Chautauquas — A fine instructor and a most delightful entertainer.
Hon. Wallace Bruce, DeFuniak Springs, Fla.— A most pleasing reader and lecturer. A great success at our Chautauqua.
J. D. Ford, Manager Chautauqua, Grimsby Park, Ont., Canada — Dr. Bible is a great success. He delighted our people.
Jno. E. Clark, Lecturer — Bible is fine.
Madison (Ind.) Daily Courier — At the repeated solici¬tation of the audience, Dr. Bible graciously consented to talk for a brief season. And the moments passed all too rapidly, for Dr. Bible knows the pulse beats of his hearers, and he sweeps them from grave to gay, from the solid ground of practical common sense to the cloud-land of romance and mysticism, as a minstrel sweeps his harp to tuneful melodies or tearful strains — to put it in terms of common currency, Dr. Bible "made a great hit" again in the evening at the Chau¬tauqua.
Capt. Jack Crawford, Poet Scout — Bible is a gifted reciter and lecturer.
Marion (Ind.) News-Tribune — Professor Bible has the saving grace of humor, which many institute lecturers lack. He realizes that teachers as well as others like to be entertained, and that when one can instruct through entertaining he has reached the pinnacle of effectiveness in teaching. Reading faces closely, Pro¬fessor Bible instantly detects any tendency of the mind to flag under the monotony of the serious and instantly relieves the situation by a saving flash of humor.
Indianapolis (Ind.) Star — He sprinkled his lecture with humorous anecdote and imitation which was well received by his audience, in fact he was often forced to desist while they laughed over some unusually happy hit.
L. V. Cravens, Manager Madison (Ind.) Chautauqua — Dr. George P. Bible is of the mettle managers are looking for. He combines the merits of a lecturer with the capacities of an entertainer and is an all 'round success. His afternoon lecture before our assembly made such a decided "hit" that the audience simply demanded that he be put on the night program, cer¬tainly an unusual compliment to any lecturer. His lec¬tures are a rare combination of wit and philosophy, entertainment and instruction. He has a keen insight into the brighter side of the philosophy of life, while his remarkable power of expression and illustration makes his lectures entertaining, comprehensive and profound — really a remarkable combination.
O. J. Dunning, County Superintendent of Schools, War¬ren, Pa.— Dr. Geo. P. Bible was with us at our Teach¬ers' Institute last December. His lecture on "The Elements of Success," given Tuesday evening to a crowded house, was one of the best features of the week. The social and scholarly qualities of Dr. Bible will insure him a warm welcome whenever he should choose to return to Warren County.
Chambersburg (Pa.) Register — The evening's lecture was delivered by Dr. George P. Bible, Principal of the National School of Oratory, Philadelphia, his sub¬ject being "The Elements of Success." Dr. Bible is a rapid talker, very entertaining, and held the close attention of the audience.
Tyrone (Pa.) Times —"Life and Opportunity" was the subject of the lecture by Geo. P. Bible, A. M., in the auditorium of the P. E. E. Y. M. C. A. building on the evening of Thanksgiving Day. Tyrone has been ex¬ceptionally favored during the past fortnight with lectures of a high class. To have the opportunity of listening to lectures by Dr. S. Parkes Cadman, of New York, Dr. F. W. Gunsaulus, of Chicago and Dr. Geo. P. Bible, of Philadelphia, gives one a rare advantage to compare notes on a trio of deservedly popular plat¬form speakers. Dr. Bible's lecture was full of good suggestions and wholesome advice to all, especially to young men and young women, and was instructive and entertaining throughout. His wit is keen and his pathos of a new kind that appeals to the nobler senti¬ments of one's make-up. Should Dr. Bible come back to Tyrone he will be greeted by a large audience.
Madison (Ind.) Courier— Dr. G. P. Bible, of Philadel¬phia, was the drawing card for Sunday. He should have been heralded as a star, for he really belongs among the constellations. Dr. Bible is an ideal plat¬form speaker. He possesses that rare and priceless qualification for platform success — adaptability — and he talked himself directly into the affections of a grateful audience. For he speaks to the youth and the sage, to the man and the maid, to the staid and the gay, and he carries a message of hope and good cheer for each. He is eloquent when serious, he is immense when whimsical and an altogether popular and helpful edition of the Bible.
John Clerkin, County Sup't of Schools, Jennings Co., Vernon, Ind.— Geo. P. Bible was one of our instructors at the teachers' institute this year. He won the atten¬tion of our teachers in his first talk and continued to hold it throughout the week. The people of Vernon were so well pleased with his institute work that they had him give an evening lecture the week following.
Roy H. Davis, President Brown Co. Teachers' Institute, Russellville, O.— We have had Prof. Bible as an in¬structor in our teachers' institute two years and he is one of the most popular we have ever had. His clear, practical instruction shows preparation as to the re¬quirements of the public schools. As an evening lec¬turer and entertainer he never fails to delight his audience. Those engaging him as an institute in¬structor or evening lecturer will make no mistake.
Samuel L. Scott, Sup't Clark County Schools, Jeffersonville, Ind.— Dr. Geo. P. Bible was one of the instruc¬tors in the Clark county, Indiana, teachers' institute held in September, 1904. He was a great inspiration to our teachers and every sentence he uttered while on the platform was listened to with the keenest interest. No institute can be dull when Dr. Bible is one of the workers.
