DEARBORN CONCERT PARTY
Miss Ray Smallwood
THE beautiful and sweet-toned harp is always a welcome sight and sound to the Lyceum and Chautauqua audience, and Miss Ray Smallwood made no mistake when she was inspired to study this most popular instrument. Miss Smallwood is not only a harpist, but possesses a sweet lyric soprano voice that has won her many laurels in the musical world, and is an accomplished pianist as well. She also plays the Irish harp and delights her audiences with her romantic Irish and character songs accompanied on the Irish harp. In all of her accomplishments she shows a finish that pro¬claims her a careful student. She has a most pleasing personality, and her bright smile and vivacious manner immediately popularizes her with the audience.
MISS ROSALYNDE BRUNNER
THERE are very few artistic whistlers, and the opportunity for hearing the best is accorded to very few people during a life-time. It is therefore with positive assurance of anticipated delighted audiences, that Miss Rosalynde Brunner, 'The Los
Angeles Nightingale" has been secured as a member of the Dearborn Concert Party. Miss Brunner's desire to imitate birds led her finally to take up the study of whistling at the California School of Artistic Whistling, located at Los Angeles, Cal., where she acquired the rich and sweet bird-like quality of her tones and the accuracy of her technique.
In addition to her whistling, she is a vocalist and reader of no small ability, having studied voice with Frederick W. Root, famous musical author, composer, and teacher, and dramatic art at the American Conservatory of Music, in Chicago.
MISS ROSAMOND WRAGE
THERE is no musical instrument in the world that is sweeter than the violin, and fortunate indeed is the person whose artistic temperament has led them to study its intricacies and bring forth from its bosom the magic sounds, and Miss Wrage is one of those fortunate persons who has demonstrated in her ten years of playing before the public that she has mastered the instrument. She has played in some of the largest cities in the world and has been pronounced by musical critics as a genius on the instrument.
THE DEARBORN CONCERT PARTY
IT GIVES us great pleasure to present the Dearborn Concert Party a trio of highly artistic and versatile young ladies who have made a sub-tantial success wherever they have appeared. They present a bright, varied, and pleasing entertainment, consisting of ensemble numbers of harp, violin and flute; vocal trios, duets, vocal trios in Spanish costume accompanied by mandolins and guitars, and sketches. Their individual work consists of American harp solos, Irish harp with Irish character songs, whistling solos with short talks on birds, violin solos, and readings. The voices of these ladies blend well, and their numbers are presented in a bright, vivacious manner, in which the stage waits have been eliminated, thereby sustaining the interest of the audience throughout the entire performance.
