BlUE REFUSES
TO START IOWA STUDY OF D.P.S
Haven is sought for Europe's Refugees.

Gk)v. Robert D. Blue re-j fused Wednesday to appoint! a committee to study the visibility of allowing some' of Europe's displaced persons (D.P.s) to settle in Iowa.
A delegation interested in helping refugee peoples quoted the governor as saying that he is not empowered by law to name a committee for such a purpose. j

Blue's stand was contrary to the position taken Wednesday by Gov. Luther W. Youngdahl of Minnesota and previously by Gov. Fred Aandahl of North Dakota. Both appointed study committees.
