Motor Class Learns How To Use Army Cars
Women's Army Auxiliaries Stop Here For Lunch on Training Trip
While a small crowd of curious onlookers watched, a convoy of 10 army trucks, two carryalls, one command car and one jeep filled with officers, enlisted men and W. A. A. C. auxiliaries from Fort Des Moines, escorted by the local police left Marshalltown Wednesday afternoon for the return trip to Des Moines after having lunch at a cafe here.
The trip, according to First Lieut. M. I. Miller, who was in charge of the group, was a training maneuver for the 39 members of the motor transport class, who will be graduated soon from the Fort Des Moines school.
Lieutenant Miller, who is the instructor; three W. A. A. C. third officers, who are assistant instructors, and five enlisted men accompanied the group. The
