The Quiz Kids, radio's five brainy and energetic youngsters, became the darlings of the WAACs^Sunday morning when they visited the training center at Fort Des Moines army post.
And when these five Chicago/ 111., children left the army post, there wasn't much about the WAAC they didn't know, including what the WAAC girdles look like and the fact that the WAACs don't have a guard house.
The Quiz Kids, Kuthie Duskin, 8, Gerard Darrow, 10, Harve Fischman, 12, Richard Williams, 12, and Margaret Merrick, 14, really fooled the WAACs.
Several women soldiers said they
feared embarrassment at meeting
these fact-filled boys and girls,
Questions.
But the Quiz Kids didn't flaunt their variety of knowledge. Instead, they asked questions and invariably there responses to the answer was, "OOOOOh," or "Oh, gee," "Oh, my gosh."
