Description	Professor Ann Estin will speak about her recent trip to Cuba with 25 others from the Agudas Achim Thursday, February 3, 2011 12:00 p.m., Congregational Church 30 N. Clinton St., Iowa City, IA All luncheon reservations are due in the o ce by noon Monday, January 24th. Made possible by generous support from: A Bella Vista Bed And Breakfast - Daissy Owen In fall 2010, Professor Ann Estin, Rabbi Jeff Portman and other members of the Agudas Achim Congregation in Iowa City had the opportunity to do what few Americans have done - travel to Cuba. Ann will give an overview of current political and economic conditions and touch on one of Cuba’s common phrases, “In Cuba we pretend to work, and the government pretends to pay us”. The U.S. media has recently reported changes in U.S. interactions with the country under the new rule of Raul Castro. Ann will comment on these changes and the country’s new focus on economic growth.
