Description	Jeremy Varcoe currently serves as an Asylum Judge in the United Kingdom hearing appeals of immigrants who have failed in their first effort to gain asylum. He counts among a select minority of judges who has had significant experience in the British Foreign Service prior to his appointment as a judge. The former British Ambassador to Somalia, Jeremy Varcoe has also served in Nigeria, Zambia, Malaysia, and Turkey. His international work goes beyond immigration law and diplomacy to include education. In the mid-1990s Ambassador Varcoe worked first as president of United World Colleges an international group of secondary schools.
