A family trio from Poimd with nothing but their | bagtage but with hearts filled withfhope are busy today preparing alew home in the land of opportunity.
Shabbily clad, they arrived in LeMars about 1:30 this (Thursday) aftei'noon, the first of the European families to arrive in this community under the displaced persons plan.
About 20 persons were gatheied at the depot when the train, one and a half hours overdue, chugged into the station. -There to greet them was the Rev. Father Henry Karhoff of Oyens under whose care they will be for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Roman Fiedler, whose tena'nt home tho family will occupy, were also
! there. There were also newspaper j reporters, camera men and the us-lual curious onlookers.
Tired and worn from a long 'trip from their native Ian 1. the little family stepped down from the train. They
