N^rolWAACs and Soldiers Entertained
It was home-cooked food for Negro soldiers and Negro WAACs Saturday night at the Blue Triangle branch of the Y.W.C.A., 1407 Center st. At a table are Miss Noel Campbell, 23, an officer candidate, of Tuskegee, Ala.; Mrs. Helen Beshears, 1127 Eleventh st., chairman of the Blue Triangle branch committee of management, and Pvt. Thirty Negro soldiers from Camp Dodge and 20 Negro WAACs | from Fort Des Moines army post were entertained at a potluck din-Iner Saturday night at the Blue I Triangle branch of the Y.W.C.A., 1407 Center st.
The affair was sponsored by the
Blue Triangle branch, the Crocker street branch of the Y.M.C.A. and | the Negro Community center.
The soldiers and WAACs danced and played cards after the dinner, which was served on the lawn.
