Friendship Train' Drive Is Succes With $5,028 Totj
Success of the Scott coulty campaign to raise funds for 1 carload of flour and relief cereal for the Friendship Train was announced today by J. R. Underwool, chairman, who reported collections had reached a total of $5,028, texceed-"ing the goal which had bWn set. fji Plans call for enough money to load a 60,000-pound can but the contributions to date will insure the purchase of 70,000 •V pounds of food, including 700 50-pound sacks of flour and 350 100-pound sacks of Purina relief cereal.-
Orders were placed this morning with International Milling Co., Davenport, for a half carload of i Robin Hood flour, and with Ralston Purina Co., Davenport, for -a half carload of relief cereal. Filling the orders and loading the car was getting under way.-
Monday afternoon and this morning brought a flood of contributions, boosting the receipts from $2,000 Monday
