Women To Hear WAACWAVE Discussion Tonight
Miss Heir ^ill Speak Instead Of Ensign Davis
Opportunities for college women in the WAACs and the WAVES will be presented at the convocation open to all women students tonight from 7 to 8 in Great Hall, Memorial Union, according to Dean Genevieve Fisher, of the Home Economics Division.
Ensign Carolyn Davis who was to have represented the WAVES will not be at the meeting since she was called from her Des Moines post to Chicago, 111. on official business. Miss Gertrude Herr, of the Mathematics Department, who has discussed opportunities in the WAVES with Ensign Davis, will speak in this service.
The name of the officer who will represent the WAACs has not been announced yet. She is being brought, to the campus through the Public Relations Bureau of the First Women's Army Auxiliary Corps Training Center at the Army Post Branch, Des Moines.
