Stanton Club to Seek Salvage and 2 WAAC Recruits
STAN'^^M Jan. ^6—The Twentieth Century club met at the home of Mrs. E.J B. Wigstone Tuesday afternoon, fcuest speaker was Mrs. Ethelda Tyler of Villisca, who spoke on the wartime need for household salvage articles and the need for recruits to fill up the ranks of the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps.
The club decided to conduct a drive to collect household salvage! articles during the next two weeks. Solicitations will be made by high school girls. The club will also sponsor a drive to secure two WAAC recruits from this community, which is the number expected to be furnished by Stanton in the quota of nine from the county. Those interested are asked to contact Mrs. E. O. Lindberg, club president. >
