Decatur county WAAC quota is eight women. The opening of two new Women's Army Auxiliary Corps training centers, and the demand for additional cata-gories of trained WAACs to take posts in the army, have accelerated the enrollment plan for the corps in Leon, Mrs. Dorothy Smith at the selective service office, who handles local applications for the WAAC, said yesterday.
The two new camps, extending the training facilities formerly confined to Fort Des Moines, are located at Daytona Beach, Florida, and at Fort Oglethorp'e, Georgia. With the opening of its new camps, the corps hopes soon to reach its authorized strength of 15 0,0100 women trained for (duty with the army.
An intensive campaign to obtain enrollments fftr the corps is now in full swing. Women o'f Decatur county are urged to bring their skills and knowledge to the WAAC.
