Women's Club To Provide "WAAC Recruiting" Center For Army tfnii
In cooperation with the program of recruiting WAACs in the State of Iowa by the Federation of Women's clubs, Mrs. John Davis, county chairman, announces that a WAAC recruiting station is established in Colfax in the Red Cross rooms. Persons who cannot come to the office may call Mrs. Davis, phone 251-W | for special appointment.
Mrs. Davis states that the office , will provide a center where information about the WAACs will be j disseminated to those interested and j where application for enrollment j can actually be made for transmittal to the Army Recruiting Station at j Des Moines. When applicants re- i port to Des Moines for the physical j and mental examinations pre-re-quisite to actual enlistment, all ex penses will be paid.
Federated clubs all over America : are responding to call from the army j to assist in giving out information | about the WAAC.
