Kiwanis Club to Hear Officer of WAACs at Valentine Party
Kathryn McWilliams, Fort Des Moines, to Be Guest Speaker
Third Officer Kathryn McWil-liams, WAAC, Des Moines, will be the speaker at the Mason City Kiwanis club meeting Thursday noon at the Hotel Hanford when the club members will meet with the Kiwani Queens for their Valentine party.
Wide experience as a lecturer, teacher and director in home economics throughout the middle west characterizes the peace-time work of Third Officer McWil-Hams. Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota, where she majored in foods and nutrition in business, she became a member of the staff of a private cooking school established to replenish the rapidly decreasing number of well-trained chefs and professional cooks. Classes for*-housewives were abided—the result of many requests.
