WAACs, WAVES and SPARS who owned property when they entered the service are eligible for homestead tax exemption credits, the state attorney general's office ruled Thursday.
An opinion by Jeris Grothe, special assistant attorney general for the state tax commission, ruled that all jvomen enrolled in such organizations are eligible for the credits, the same as army, navy, coast guard, marine or other service men.
Grothe's opinion was viewed in statehouse circles Thursday as a probable guiding precept for answers to similar questions concerning the effect of various legislation just passed by the present legislature which extends various benefits to service men,
