Women Volunteer In Navy Branch
American Legion Auxiliary units in Iowa, including "Garey-Wbalen unit of Tipton, fere cooperating with thelNavy fiecruit-ing service in a state-wide drive to offer information and help in the enlistment of women between 20 and 36 who are eligible for service in the Navy's WAVES and SPARS.
Mrs. C. R. Anderson, president of the First District, stated that Mrs. R. D. Swartzlender and Miss June Muirhead have been appointed WAVE-SPAR procurement chairmen for this area.
These women have information about enlistment, and intro-; duction cards which will aid in-|terested girls in contacting the j nearest Navy Recruiting station. Interviews
Interviews preliminary to enlistment in either the WAVES or j the SPARS will be conducted at i the Navy Recruiting Station in [Davenport March 4, 5 and 6 for any women who might be inter-I ested from this community. The interviews there will be conducted by
