Mental Alertness Tests Are Given Dubuque Girls
Lieut. Helen Wallace, of the Women's.Army Auxiliary Corps, in speaking at a public rally at the Elks Club Monday evening, stated that by the end of March there would be 75,000 women in the WAACs, and that by the end of December the organization will achieve its present authorized strength of 150,000 women.
Following a concert by the Senior High School Band, under the direction of Ferdinand Di Telia, Mrs. H. C. Milversted, president of the Dubuque Women's Club, which is sponsoring the campaign in Dubuque, introduced Third Officer Helen Wrallace. The purpose of .the meeting was to obtain recruits 'for the WAACs as well as to ex-; plain the value of this sort of serv-j ice to the country.
