Seventeen Apply for WAVES Posts
Four-day Drive Is Called Success
Even though many interviews were given and a number of applications made in the four days' time the special WAVES-SPARS recruiting party visited in Council Bluffs, the next week or two are i expected to show greater evidence ! of the special drive, it was an- ; nounced Saturday afternoon at the navy recruiting station, 408 post-office building.
An early tally Saturday afternoon revealed that 17 application forms were issued and 48 personal interviews made. In addition, a large number of the WAVES-SPARS booklets were given upon request.
I The climaxing feature of the four-day visit of the recruiting party was the WAVES-SPARS tea given Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 I p. m. by the Council Bluffs Women's Institute at. the recreation center, 21 Pearl street.
Guest speaker at the tea was Miss Rella Sanden, yeoman, 3 cl., who headed the WAVES SPARS party.
