Will Be Speaker
Yeoman Ethel Vessey of St. Paul, Minn., attached to the Iowa WAVES state recruiting office in Des Moines, will be guest speaker at a pot-luck dinner meeting of the West Des Moines Lions club at 6:30 Monday night in the Christian church. She will tell the story of the WAVES organization, and explain the various phases of their training program.
The music program will include an instrumental quartet, composed of Duane Davis, Bob Stewart, Margaret Dugan and Geraldine Duff. Ethel Mae Rutherford will be their accompanist.
Also to report at the meeting is the committee appointed to nominate officers for the 1943-44 year. The committee includes Ed Williams, Clarence Good and Charles Mountain.
Wives and guests are also invited to attend the Monday night affair. Andy Sherbo, president, will preside.
