Prizes Will Be Given Girls Most Eligible for Servic^.
Sponsored by the Davenport Ad club a birthday party to be held in celebration of the Women's Army Auxiliary corps' first birthday has been arranged for next Saturday at the Davenport coliseum.
A contest is being held to select the girl who is the most eligible as a candidate for the WAAC. The first prize will be a $100 war savings bond. However, if this girl becomes an enrollee in the WAAC the prize award will be doubled. To make it possible for the girl to be an enrollee by the time set for the birthday party, the recruiting officers in Davenport will give any interested applicants the mental
test in the Davenport WAAC recruiting office, 355 postoffice building, on Thursday night, at 7:30, and make the necessary arrangements for these girls to go to Des Moines Friday for their physical examinations.
