I Attend Opening of
Approximately 200/ Waves and army air force/ cadets enjoyed an evening of recreation at the service folks' center in the guest quarters of the Elks cIud here Saturday night,
The project was the first of a series of such parties planned every Saturday night for the numerous service people who spend their weekends here.
The programs are sponsored by the Waterloo Rotary club, working in co-operation with the Waterloo lodge B. P. O. Elks.
There was a large representation from the Waves and army air force training schools which are located on the Iowa State Teachers college campus in Cedar Falls.
A contingent of officers from the two Cedar Falls schools was present, headed by Lt. Comdr. E. E. Pettee and Capt. Julian T. Leonard, commanding officers respectively of the Waves and army air force training schools.
