GIRLS HEAR ALICE LLOYD THIS MORNING
Public Review At
"It is a sacrifice for a woman to wear a uniform," declared Alice Lloyd, dean at the University of Michigan and representative of the Ninth Naval District on the council of women's services in the U. S. Navy, when she addressed the Waves in training at Iowa State Teachers college this morning.
This was one of the principal events in the first "birthday anniversary" of the Waves organization. As a final climax the Waves will appear in a public review at the college stadium at 7:30 p. m. tonight.
Miss Lloyd stated that women find it hard to wear the same costume from morning to night, but that all are very proud of the women's reserve uniform.
She urged the girls to accept the heritage of our land and out of this struggle build a better America. "Take a vital part in the peace time following the war as well as the vital part you are taking in
