Spectators, outnumbering the principals four or five ,to one, saw war brought closer to the community when 100 Italian prisoners of war arrived here Monday night in special coaches on the regular evening passenger train.--
War prisoners, captured in battle, guarded by American soldiers who saw foreign service, brought a heretofore unknown parallel tc Odebolt.--
The war prisoners seemed a hap py lot of young men. They wer< typical Italians—dark, swartlr complexion; bushy, black curl] hair; and gleaming teeth. Som< had musical instruments, such a, guitars. Some were clean shaven while one in particular had a long time growing beard. Their average age is about 27 years.--
They didn't seem to mind th( stares of the spectators, but as said before, seemed happy and broke into song as the trucks left the railroad station for Fairview Farm, where
