WAG's Band of 45 Pieces Will Head Parade on Friday
To Aid in Recruiting Campaign—Other Organizations to Participate
Davenporters will be given a chance to see the WACS on parade Friday afternoon when the 45 piece band from Ft. Des Moines headed by First Lt. Ruth J. Ihle, and a drill team of 50 WACS will lend their aid to Lt. Jane Smith and Corp. r Enid Sondro, of the Davenport recruiting station in | getting off to a good start in the national campaign to enlist members for the organization. The campaign will last through Dec. 4.
The band and drill team will take part in a parade through the business section of the city at 2:30 p. m. Other organizations to take part include: the Boy Scouts, Red Cross, Girl Scouts, Navy Mothers, Rainbow Girls, De Molay, Ameri-can Legion color guard, high school R. O. T. C. The WAC band will also play at the high high school football game Friday night. Several other organizations are expected to notify Lt. Smith today
