In charge of a recruiting drive for the marine corps women's reserve in Fort Dodge, beginning today, will be Sgt. Mary M. Mantling of Boston, Mass., and Sgt. Ruth H. Richards of Des Moines.
They will establish an enlistment station in the lobby of the Rialto theater this evening, and will be on duty there during the showing of "Salute to the Marines" through Wednesday.
They will not accept applications for enlistment, but will be able to give complete information on the service and how to enter it.
Sgt. Manning has been a marine
reserve since last March. She attended the Girls Latin school in Boston and a business school, and was employed by the Upjohn company before her enlistment.
