All efforts to locate a temporary war prisoner camp in Tama county have been dropped. However, committees are still endeavoring to have government authorities establish a permanent war prisoner camp on the abandoned Indian sanitarium grounds west of Toledo.
The idea of securing temporary help of war prisoners was given up finally Thursday afternoon of last week, following a meeting of Toledo business men and representatives of canning companies.
