The Polk county civilian committee, of which Forrest Spauld-ing. Des Moines librarian, is I chairman has been working on an extensive plan to contact eligible women between the ages of 20 and 49, qualified for service with the air forces. Among the organizations assisting the civilian committee are the American . Legion auxiliary, the Parent-Teachers association and the civilian defense organization.
