The mg racruiting drive for women in the army has been a good deal of a flop. As a result, more married men are being drafted. a. a. ACTUALLY, the army and navy could use about three times as many women for non-combat work as they are likely to get. One trouble was high wages in war industry. Another was the public criticism of women in uniform. Because Wacs and Waves were new, it took the public a good while to get used to them and to realize their value.
