A determined effort to step up the Air WAC enlistments on the home front is beiug made over Appanoose county bcgiuuiog today. In co-operatiou with the local com mittee headed by Russell Buss and Mrs. Teresa Blachley and the Civil Air Patrol the theaters of the city are putting special emphasis on Air WAC enlistments for the next several days.
Booths at which young women nay sign for the service will be in he lobbies of the theaters and Miss Helen Elfstrom, enlistment officer with the CAP has named various persons to be present to accept iny enlistment inquiries and to sign those interested.
Miss Elfstrom announced her committees today as follows: Majestic Thursday—Dixie Wells. Friday—Ruth Fuller. Saturday—Jackie De Puy, 1:30 to 4:00; Mrs. Harry Dukes, 4:00 to 6:30; Lucile Harrison 6:30 ' to 9:00.
Sunday—Mildred Swafford 1:30 to 4:00; Ruth Fuller 4:00 to 6:30; Carol Condra 6:30 to 9:00. Monday—Mildred Elfstrom. Tuesday—Carol Condra. Wednesday—Leou Hixenbaugh.
Rita Thursday—Eloise Simmons. Friday—Mildred Swarford. Saturday—Charlotte lie Puy. Buuday—Leon Hixenbaugh, 1:30 to 4:00; Bob Hoover, 4:00 to 6:30; Mrs. C. W. Blachley 6:3u to 9:00. Monday—Leo Bowdish. Tuesday—Dixie Wells. . Wednesday—C. B. DePuy.
