Lieutpnaift L p Howard, engineer in charge <Jf general operations in the construction of the Clarinda internment camp, states that the plan to move the main office to the camp area has been abandoned. It is considered more practical to retain the office in the Clarinda business district, for more convenient contact with those having dealings through this office. It is located over the Masters drug store.
A labor relations office and finger-printing department have, however, been established in the camp area. Lieutenant Howard observes that there is still an urgent need for more laborers. Progress at the camp has been very satisfactory, otherwise, with the contractors feeling mighty fortunate in the continuance of favorable weather, thus far missing the typical long fall rains.
