recruiting office in the Liberty theater building, has been promoted from sergeant to staff sergeant it was announced here Friday.
S. Sgt. Kusner, who came to Council Bluffs with the recruiters a little over two months ago. has been In the army over two years.
The majority of his army lite has been devoted to producing army shows. One show, by Kus-ner. netted the government $12,-000,000 in defense bonds and won for him a citation from Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgaw-theau jr.
The show, "Kearns Bond Wagon." later called "The Air WAC Caravan" show, played cities and towns throughout the United States for 18 months.
In civilian life. Sgt. Kusner was i script writer for Milton Burrough and Joan Davis and Hollywood ilars In California. Among his traductions were "Over My Dead Jody," and "Whispering Ghosts."
