Lt. Jane Smith Takes Over WAC Recruiting
Lt. Jane Smith, former commanding officer of the Davenport WAC recruiting office, has been transferred to Cedar Rapids to replace Lt. Candace Arsers Carman, in charge of the Cedar Rapids office since May, 1943. In other recent WAC office changes, Cpl. Howard Davis, who was replaced by Cpl. M. M. Llewellyn, had been attached to the Davenport station, and Pfc. Willadene Moore, on her return from adjutant general's school in Fort Houston, Texas, will be sent to Sioux City. Her place was taken by Pvt. Shirley Parsons. Other members of the WAC office are Staff Sgt. Minnie Mai Williamson and Sgt. Jane Newkirk.
