Capt. Mildred / McAfee, director of the Women's Reserve of Ilie navy, will he t'he speaker here April 2S when the local naval training station at Iowa State Teachers college is decommissioned. Oomm. E. !•:. Pet tee announced today. She will speak at 2 p. m. in the college auditorium.
Plans are still very Incomplete for the decommissioning since the actual time is about six weeks distant. However, dipt. .McAfee's speech will be the main event of that day.
Capt. McAfee is stationed at present in Washington D. C.
The local station was opened here in December 1942 and will close t'he last of April.
E. E. Pettee is the present commander of the station.
On this day also the final class will be graduated at the station.
