Iowa WAVE Quota Increased
The quota for Waves from Iowa has been increased for the month of December, according/to a statement by Lieutenant Commander M. L. Bohgren, faffice| in charge of recruiting.
Commander Bohgren stated that the Navy was particularly in search of girls with stenographic skills although this was only one of the fields where women enlistees are utilized.
The pay compares favorably with civilian pay scales, according to the commander.
A young lady, to be elegible for enlistment, must be between the ages of 18 and 26, unmarried, have no dependents, be a high school graduate or have the equivalent of a high school diploma.
