Alberta Burke, Navy Nurse, Is Awarded Unit Commendation The Fleet Home Town News center at Great Lakes, 111., announced that the Navy Unit Commendation has been presented to Lt, Cmdr. Alberta Burk, Nurse Corps, USN, daughter of George T Burk of 404 Seventh Avenue, vSoutheast, Independence. The citation was for extremely meritorious service in the treatment and hospitalization for casualties of the Korean campaign at the U. S. Naval hospital, Yoko-suka, Japan.
