Eldora Camp Has Pleasant Christmas Day
Soldiers and Italians Se| Monies, Attend Service, Have Big Dinner
and war prisoners at the ^^ £amp>found Christmas enjoyable wTFh a picture show in the morning, a church service at 12:30, a big dinner having turkey as the piece-de-resistance, an afternoon of leisure and a party conducted largely by the Italians in the evening.
Gifts of trees, decorations, and treats from several organizations kidded to the pleasure of the day. The United Service Women and the American Legion Auxiliary of Eldora and the Truth Seekers class of Salem Evangelical church of Hubbard contributed trees, decorations and treats in preparation for the celebration. A Few Furloughs
A few of the soldiers were given passes for the day, and some others enjoyed visits from wives or sweethearts. Among the latter lucky ones were Cpl. Clarence Olson, whose wife and baby were here, Pvt. John Heaney, Corp. Ferdinand Schwartz and Pfc. Dur-ward Brown.
