iFirst War Prisoner Unit Due to Arrive Tuesday
An Iowa/Presf Association news release from £t Olcpker, Des Moines, avpiiDlicfrelatiojis officer of the 7th corps area, announced today that there [will he in Clarinda the 25th of January, a side camp of war prisoners arriving from Camp Clark, Mo.- V
The contingent will come to Clarinda to aid in establishing the camp for additional prisoners of war.
A similar group* of prioners already have been assigned to the Algona prison camp to prepare the camp in the same way in which the contingent coming to this camp will do.
The groups will be engaged in cleanup work in the camps and preparation for occupation.
The group will be in charge of two officers and a contingent of enlisted men, Lt Oldaker said.
