WAR PRISONERS \ AVAILABLE FOR J WORK Orj FARMS
Des Moines/— (AP)—- Lieut Col. Courtney P. Young, district commander of the Seventh service command, said Saturday he felt certain there would be enough prisoners of war available to take care of all the needs of Iowa farmers for harvest help this summer.
"I feel equally certain," he continued, "that these men will work to the total satisfaction of the farmer. Help will be available from the Clarinda and Algona camps, and those German prisoners are energetic workers.
"We will send the men- out in | not less than a group of 10, with the necessary guard force, but we would rather assign them in groups of 50. The farmers who get such help must provide the Inecessary housing, sanitation and o4£ier facilities."
