War Prisoners To Plant 65 Acres of Vegetables
"Recently between five hundred and OTie thousand German prisoners have arrived and are interned for the duration at the prisonei of war camp on highway 18 about tw* miles west of Algona. Othef prisoners are expected at intervals Until there will be about three thousand, the capacity of the camp.
Only German prisoners will be interned there. Those at the camp now come entirely from other camps in! the United States and none are di-j rectly from overseas, although some have beemhere but a few weeks while j others .have been in the state almost a year or shortly after the African Invasion.
The prisoners are allowed to keep their national soldier's uniform. The. prison fatigtte uniform is blue denim overalljy&d jacket with "P. W.", er of war) stenciled in white
