Announcement of the committee was made by Secretary of State Rollo Bergeson, who will act as chairman of the group. The committee will have its headquarters in his office at the statehouse.

Two weeks ago Gov. Robert D. Blue refused to appoint a committee to study the displaced persons problem from a state standpoint. At that time Blue told a committee which called at his office that it is "a federal matter that should be acted upon at the federal level before it is considered at the state level."
Most of the persons who called on Blue are on the committee announced Thursday.
