The Daily Palette web site features the work of an Iowa artist each day. More than one thousand artists working in the fine arts, literature, video, and the performing arts have been showcased. The project was launched in 2004-2005 in conjunction with The University of Iowa's Year of the Arts & Humanities initiative to promote public interest in, and appreciation of the arts.

The Palette was developed and is managed by a team from the Intermedia Area of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences' School of Art & Art History. The "Iowa Writes" series is adminstered by staff of The Iowa Review.
