This collection features work by two photographers who, combined, documented the University of Iowa and the surrounding community for over a century. The work of Samuel Calvin (1840-1911), a professor in natural sciences, and Frederick Wallace Kent (1894-1984), a lecturer in photography, form an invaluable pictorial piece of Iowa City history. The depictions include students, professors, businesses, houses, parks, and bridges.
