Iowa Alumni Review - 1952Publications of the University of Iowa Alumni Association are a rich source of history about the campus and its people. Beginning with The Iowa Alumnus, published from 1903 to 1925, and resuming with The Iowa Alumni Review in 1947, these magazines highlight significant University events and chronicle alumni activity and milestones.

Each item displayed in this collection represents a single volume of issues spanning one year. From 1903 to 1925, The Iowa Alumnus was released monthly during the fall and spring semesters. Following a 22-year hiatus, the Alumni Association resumed with its bi-monthly The Iowa Alumni Review. It was renamed The Iowa Alumni Quarterly in 1993, and again renamed Iowa Alumni Magazine in 2000. This collection includes all issues published from 1903 to 2005.

You may search the collection by entering a word or phrase in the search box and specifying 'this collection.' For example, a search for articles about the University of Iowa's first graduate, Dexter Edson Smith, yields about 10 results. The issues are full-text searchable and your search term will be highlighted on the page when you select from your results.
