IOWA CITY ITEMS. (Special to The Bystander.) Eleven girls are now located in their beautiful home at 942 Iowa avenue. They are planning to have an opening of the home on Saturday, Oct. 4. Mrs. Martha White of Tndianola, president of the lowa State Federation is visiting a few days at the home. Miss Hazel Shaw and Miss Mildred I. Griffin were taken to the University hospital, victims of diphtheria; at the present they are doing as well as can be expected. We hope for their speedy rcovry. Miss Harriet Alexander is eagerly awaiting for the first foot ball game to be played Saturday between Iowa and Nebraska. About twenty-two colored boys have registered into the university for this year. Donations in kind will be gladly received. State Historical Society of Iowa (Des Moines)
