Mr. and Mrs. Greenway and sons of Muscatine motored to Iowa City Sunday to spend the afternoon with son and brother, Mr. George Rice.
Mr. Fowler of Des Moines was a guest at Delta house Saturday evening.
The elected officers of Bethel A. M. E. Sunday school for the ensuing year are: Superintendent, Miss Imogene Wilson; assistant superintendent, Miss Viola Pendleton; secretary, Mr. Ray Ashford; assistant secretary, Miss Alberta Green; treasurer, Mr. Percy Smith and teachers, Messrs. William Taylor, Percy Smith and Miss Harriet Alexander; organist, Miss Mildred Griffin.
Mr. Kenney of Yankton, S. D., was called home on account of the illness of his father.
Mr. Tucker is visiting in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Phil McGuire spent the week-end in Des Moines.
Delta chapter, Delta Sigma Theta held its regular business meeting Monday night.
Mrs. Alice Crutcher of Des Moines is the guest of her daughter, Miss Golda Crutcher.
Du Bois Literary society will hold an election of officers Friday evening.
Mr. Fred Slater held up the standard of "Old Gold" as usual at Urbana last Saturday.
Mr. McCree, Des Moines was a caller at the Delta house last week and also Mr. Martin Brown of Minneapolis.
Donations will be gladly accepted at the home. Linens and bedding are needed badly.
