Description: This archive represents a collection of work submitted by participants in the International Writing Program (IWP) from 2001 to the present. Each year, program participants provide a sample of their writing (in original English or in an English translation) as part of their application to the residency. That text is then made available on the IWP website, alongside the participant’s short biography: http://iwp.uiowa.edu/residency.
In addition to writing samples, this collection includes short thematic essays commissioned from the writers for a weekly panel series at the Iowa City Public Library, as well as their presentations at the Iowa City Book Festival or other similar occasions: https://www.icpl.org/video/series/international-writing-program
