Watermarks
-
Watermarks: Watermarks indicate a manufacturer by the name of B. Fravega. There appear to be four variations with either the name spelled out, of the initials BF. All correspond to Briquet nos. 5681-5704, in particular nos. 5682, 5684, 5704. These have various geographical markers, Spain, Italy and Mid- and Southern France. Dates are all a little later than this manuscript, i.e. 1555-1590s. - Folios 2, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12. Heart/Oval with Greek cross inside and initials/name (B. [illegible]). Center of the page. - Folio B2 & flyleaf 2. Oval/heart with Greek cross and initials B. [illegible] inside (folio B2) or outside (flyleaf 2). Center of the page.

Collation
-
Collation: Inside quire: six bifolios. A folio at the end of the inside quire has been added and this folio holds a seal. The entire package is then held in folios that have been folded to about 1 inch in width on both front and back of the package and represent some kind of binding. To this is added two more folios on the back. They have been folded down again on the front of the package and stab-stitched to the entire package. All of this is enveloped in two bifolios, one of which provides end sheets around the entire package, the other of which has been used as the pastedowns for the parchment covers. Originally 16 folios. Wanting folios 14, 15 and 16. According to sewing and watermarks, it seems to have been rebound twice and several bifolios have been added in two different stages: 1) 2 bifolios (Folios A1, B1, A2, B2) of hadmade laid paper have been added overcasting 6-hole stab-sewing through textblock and wrapping around the spine. They have been cut and are mostly missing in the front (Folios A1, B1). 2) 2 bifolios of handmade laid paper have been sewn through as 5-hole (?) pamphlet, between ff. 7 & 8. One has been used as flyleaf and another has been used as pastedown (Flyleaf 1, Flyleaf 2 and pastedowns).

Foliation
-
Foliation: The first six folios of the text are numbered on the verso bottom left corner. No foliation on the second half of the quire, nor on the folios that envelop the quire. Pagination 2-6 (arabic numbers) is found in bottom left corner, beginning in folio 2, in apparently same hand and ink as the text.
