Date and place of orgin from book dealer's description. This folio had previously been identified as Pope Gregory I’s Homilies.

Commentary on Isaiah. Begins in the middle of Chapter 61: “…maris fortitudo gentium venerit tibi. Mystice Apostoli…”, all of 62, beginning of 63 until “…quod omnis sancti communiter exponunt de Christo. Et quaestio ista…”

Ruling: Graphite? writing lines, text block and margins on the bottom of the page

Initials and Capitals: Alternating red and blue capitals with pen flourishes around the letter and simple trails up and down the margin.

Page Titles: No title, but a number 62 is on the top of the page indicating “Chapter 62,” which starts on this page (the recto).

Rubrication: Certain groupings of words have been underlined in red.

Marginal Notation, Annotations: Brown ink vertical lines with short horizontal bars, presumably a reading aid, in the top half of the inside margin of the verso.

Marginal Notation, Decoration: Floriated borders on left and bottom margins of the recto and verso. Flowers of red, blue and gold (not leaf) connected by a green stem or stalk with intermittent green leaves. At the four corners of every flower, there are gold painted thistle-like balls faintly coming off the stalk. This type of decoration is similar to the style of Francesco d'Antonio del Chierico.
