Initials and Capitals: Folio 28 has a decorated capital "C". Blue letter C with gaps in the coloring where the natural parchment shows through. These gaps comprise what looks to be a brush stroke on the left downstroke of the C, and two small circles on the right side of the letter C. This is surrounded by a complicated red lace-like pattern on the interior and exterior or the blue C. The total forms what appears as a block capital in a more or less square shape. The C has a small red "v" just above it, denoting that it is a "versicle." Folio 28v has a more extravagantly decorated capital "P". Red with strips where the natural parchment shows through, surrounded by intricate blue lace-like patterns or flourishes that form a more or less block capital like the previous capital C. However, this P has vine-like trailings extending beyond three of the four block-like corners. It also has a Red R above the P, denoting the the beginning of the "responsory." Folio 29v has a decorated capital M, much in the style of the above C. Blue lettering with strips of natural parchment that show through, surrounded by red flourishes. This is not clearly forming a block capital but the total size of the area is equivalent to the previous C. Above the M is a small red "v" that denotes this is the "versicle."
